Life can be a confusing journey. There are so many choices and paths that can be taken that the true things in life that matter get jumbled and skewed. Sometimes the only way one can find clarity is the guidance of someone with experience.

In A Worthy Legacy, the protagonist is a granddaughter of one of the village leaders in Boluwaji. The summons to be by his bedside for his death goes out and she hurries from the city to arrive before his last breath. She arrives home in time and is there to hear his last thoughts to his family. what he says are uncommon common sense. Her grandfather speaks on many topics such as character, learning from the past, the nature of man and how to properly wield power.

This story is a peek into a different culture as plural marriages and bowing or kneeling before elders generally doesn't happen in the United States. Unfortunately, many of the lessons the story's grandfather teaches aren't taught here either.

This is a gentle story that speaks of life and the little things that make a big difference. The story is written with great love and tenderness that is rarely seen. This is a quick read and would make a nice gift for life changing events.
