Fezariu's Epiphany by David M. Brown
ISBN: 9781456500597
Release Date: May 16, 2011
Publisher: Create Space
As a young boy, Fezariu had to face trials that no child should ever endure. His idyllic upbringing was torn apart when his mother disappeared. He was told that she died. Then, his step-father was brutally murdered in the street. He was sent, along with Alycea whom was raised as his sister, back to the beginning of his life's story and many secrets to live with his adopted uncle.
In the town where he was conceived, Clarendon, Fezariu discovered the truth about his mother. He sought her out but was spurned. Thinking he was the cause of her harsh words and the death that surrounded him, he fled to join the Merelax Mercenaries. There, he worked hard and pushed himself to his limits to hone his strength and skill. Even though he steeled his heart against any attachments, he still developed comrades. Through out his years of service, he wrote to Alycea every year on her birthday and thought of how much better she was without him.
The horrors of war did not break Fezariu. He was able to contain his emotions and fought well. Along the way he lost friends and struggled to learn how to live the the guilt of living while others died. After a morally questionable assignment, Fezariu and his companions had to decide whether to remain in the Merelax Mercenaries. Their decision determined whether they lived or died.
I enjoyed Fezariu's Ephiphany. For a first novel, many elements are well constructed and I didn't want to stop reading. |

As many of you know, I am a literary publicist and I wrote Produce, Publish, Publicize which covers developing, publishing and selling a book as well. As such, I can put my stamp of approval on Premium Promotional Tips for Writers and say, this book has good stuff! Jo-Anne covers a little bit about publishing and choosing the proper venue for you but her main focus is on teaching authors how to drive people to your online venues and make sales.
Jo-Anne is dead on that marketing starts before your book is published and released. Get a blog, start posting and give relevant information or bits of your writing to entice your audience to hang around. Social networks are also very important. Find people who are interested in reading your genre and connect to them.
I especially like Jo-Annes tips for finding your target audience. It is so important to find your audience and cater to their needs. If you have a book discussing the complexities of binary applications you should not be trolling teeny-bopper websites to find readers. Know who wants to read your book and go get them.
If you want to promote anything on the internet, I strongly suggest you order a copy of Premium Promotional Tips for Writers. Jo-Anne has compiled a valuable compendium of tips and tricks suitable for beginners and proficients with the internet. The book is available in eBook as well as hardcopy.

"Shattered Wings," the story about a man named John who is struggling to reconcile an unexpected unemployment with his recollected troubles with discrimination, addiction and family issues, has recently been released and is now for sale! It is available for purchase on Amazon.com, BN.com, or directly from the author at shatteredwingsbook.com.
A Brief summary: "John has the life he wants: A man he loves, a beautiful little girl and a decent white-collar job. But a sudden layoff brings about financial and emotional struggle. In his inability to secure new work and a growing sense of despair, he relapses into alcoholism and faces his demons of addiction, discrimination, and regret as he tries desperately to regain the life he had."
About me: I've been writing since I was old enough to hold a pencil, participating in poetry slams all through my younger years. When it came time to choose my college learnin', I opted for a secondary interest that seemed more lucrative: Computer Science. I went to Northeastern University, and now work full-time as a Senior Web Engineer. But that passion for literature has never subsided, and I am working diligently to turn my lust for English into a modest side career.
What else have I published: My first self-published book was called "A Line Blurred." It was about an unhappy couple that find unexpected comfort in the grips of an affair. It deals with issues of rationalization and the consequence of justified action.
What am I working on now: I am about half way through my third book, entitled "No Where." In it, we follow a man as he is fleeing with his biological son after the grisly murder of his mother and her husband, trying to escape from an unknown and undeniably dangerous adversary. Seeking the help of his brother, who uses his political influence to launch a probing investigation, he sets off across the country. But as his brother digs deeper into the man's past, some troubling revelations come to light...
What do I do for fun:
I read a lot. I watch a lot of sports, mostly baseball and football. I enjoy evenings out with my wife and a coffee and a book at Barnes and Noble. I like taking photographs and eating fruit. I also play baseball, although my vision of my talent far exceeds reality. And I enjoy computers, developing web sites and playing video games.
What is my favorite quote: "The goal of life is not to sidle up to the grave, rested, preserved and bored to tears. Better to enter the grave sideways, exhausted, beaten and out of breath, exclaiming 'Wow! What a ride!'"

A New Earth and a New Universe is about the theories of space and time. One of the theories is Zero Separation. Another theory is about the possibility of time travel.
This book is difficult to read. If you are knowledgeable about space and time theories then you may be able to understand more of what is being discussed. Topics are difficult to follow.
From what I understood, I saw some interesting theories. But I had a hard time following and difficulty finishing the book. This book is not a lighthearted for entertainment only read. |
